Archie is a handsome Belgian Warmblood gelding who spent his career in the jumper ring, where his athleticism and talent made him a valued partner. At just 13 years old, Archie still had plenty of life ahead of him when intermittent lameness and vision issues brought his competitive career to an unexpected end.

Wanting to ensure Archie would have the care and security he deserved, his owner made the thoughtful decision to surrender him to Sundog Sporthorse Sanctuary, where he could begin a new chapter focused on comfort, stability, and lifelong care.

As one of the newest members of the herd, Archie is settling into sanctuary life and learning that retirement has its perks. With plenty of turnout, attentive care, and new friends to meet, he is beginning his well-earned second act surrounded by people committed to his long-term well-being.
