Connor is an impressive Holsteiner gelding whose journey began in Germany before being imported to continue his career as a jumper. With his size, scope, and athleticism, he enjoyed a long and successful career in the show ring, partnering with his riders over many years.

As time went on, Connor developed arthritis in his neck, which ultimately made it unsafe for him to continue under saddle. Wanting to ensure his long-term well-being, his owners made the thoughtful decision to surrender him to Sundog Sporthorse Sanctuary in 2020 so he could receive the care he needs for the rest of his life.

Today, Connor has traded the intensity of the jumper ring for a more relaxed and comfortable pace of life. Despite his size and athletic background, he is known around the sanctuary as a bit of a goofball; a good-natured, easygoing horse who enjoys attention and brings a lighthearted presence to the herd.
